Chocolate Hazelnut
A chocolate hazelnut biscuit has been beautifully transformed with the best New Zealand ingredients. Ao Cacao is a bean-to-bar maker based in Tāmaki Makaurau and his 94% chocolate is so rich, fruity and flavourful that the recipe doesn't need any cacao powder, an ingredient that's often roasted too dark and made with less superior beans.
It comes together with a less common variety of hazelnuts- Ennis, grown by Uncle Joe's farm in Marlborough. These exceptionally large sized nuts are honestly the best hazelnuts I've ever come across in my baking career.
